I'm brand new, what should I do first? Brand Value: Authenticity

Welcome to Agnes and Dora!  We are so happy to have you join the team!

You may be a seasoned marketer, or you may have never sold anything (even at a lemonade stand!)  That's OKAY!  Our team is here to help you learn some basics and cheer you on.

Agnes and Dora has a set of brand values, or guiding principles, that guide us in all things business.  They are:

Today, I want to start at the beginning with Authenticity.  Chances are good that you will be using social media to share your new business.  If you are not already the sort of person who greets friends with "Hey girl!!!  How are you doin' today!?!" then it's going to come across as really fake to start now.  Just be yourself!  Of course, you can stretch outside your comfort zone (and we will challenge you to do that - growth is good!) but start with who you really are.  

It might be helpful to make a list of your interests, things that you like and what brings you joy.  These are excellent places to start!  For instance, if you run an animal rescue, you could share a candid photo of you in our comfortable (and stylish) clothing with a caption that mentions how you appreciate that the stretch and durability of this line really fits well in your work with animals.  If you're a corporate attorney, a pic of you at the office between meetings and a caption about how the clothes are "great for corporate life and no one even knows how comfortable they are but you" could be just the thing that draws someone in and creates interest - in you and in your clothing.  Agnes and Dora is a "Lifestyle Brand".  People want to see how our products are going to fit into their lifestyle, and you are the best representation of that they have!
